Recall past memories you have of the couple such as how they met, their hobbies and special experiences you have shared with them. It is always best to make your card as personal as possible.
Jot down some notes on a piece of scrap paper about the couple, your relationship with them and how happy you are for them. Writing on scrap paper first is a good idea, as it allows you to test out different formats for your card without having to resort to scratching out misspelled words on the real card.

With tighter budgets, many couples are opting for making their own wedding invitation cards. Before you begin to think about the cards, you should consider ways to cut costs in other places. Making a guest list before making the invitations is one idea that will eliminate wasted paper and ink. Another is to use a postcard for the RSVP instead of a formal reply card or letter. Or you can request telephone replies instead. Use regular printing from the printer to create your own style.
